CHRYSLER LAUNCHES NEW VOYAGER

The new Chrysler Voyager goes on sale in the UK on 1 May, and features a new look, a new engine and transmission as well as substantially increased levels of passenger safety.

A new 2.8 Common Rail Diesel engine with four-speed automatic transmission has been added to the Voyager and Grand Voyager range, priced at just £770 over the previous 2.5 CRD manual models. All existing models will continue to be priced at the same level as the 2004 model year.

In addition to the new engine and transmission, the major new features on the 2005 Chrysler Voyager include:

• Three-Row supplemental side curtain airbags: Three-row, A to D-pillar side curtain airbags provide full-length coverage for all three rows of seats.
• Exterior Freshening: The front exterior incorporates a new fascia, grille and quad projector headlamps. These striking visual changes bring ‘the new face of Chrysler' to Voyager. New bodyside mouldings, new wheel covers and alloy wheels across the range further enhance the vehicle's attractive looks.
• Noise, vibration and harshness (NVH): has been reduced by 16 per cent in the new Voyager, compared to the 2004 model.

Together with the fresh exterior look and improved safety features, the convenience, economy and driveability of the new engine will help make both the Voyager and Grand Voyager an even bigger success for Chrysler in the UK."

For the 2005 model year, Chrysler offers three versions of the extended-wheelbase Grand Voyager – the LX, Limited and Limited XS. Two versions of its standard-wheelbase Voyager are available – the SE and LX.

The SE will be available with the 2.4 litre petrol and the 2.5 CRD diesel engines with manual transmission only. The 3.3 litre V6 engine and the new 2.8 CRD engine and transmission will be available on all LX, Limited and Limited XS models.
